You can work with me

in a few different ways:

Art Therapy - Online

Art making in therapy is a tool for communication and exploration. It allows us to give our feelings form, colour, texture and more, and focuses on the process of making rather than the outcome.

Sessions can look like…

1-to-1 sessions can look different from one week to the next, however, they often follow a loose structure which begins with a check-in chat and grounding exercise. Then, we’ll get creative, through art making, movement or some other way that feels right, and explore what feels important to you that day. We’ll have some space to reflect on the process together before we finish. Depending on what you need that day, I may guide you through a creative exercise, or we might allow the creative process to unfold itself.

What materials will I need?

In my sessions creativity shows up in many forms - drawing, mark-making, movement, writing, talking, singing, sitting, breathing, using natural objects… We’ll find methods that work for you, regardless of whether you have any creative experience or not. I support the people I work with to make art in ways that FEELS good, rather than look good, and this often includes using materials that are not harmful to the environment.

Online Eco-Art Therapy can be accessed in many ways - through zoom, by phone, email or even instant message. Sessions last 1 hour and take place weekly.

In Person Therapy Outdoors

The outdoors offers rich, versatile tools for self-exploration, building resilience, and deepening our connection to place. Shells, sticks and other found objects can be used to create images of our inner worlds; the stories of the animals and plants may mirror our own experiences.

My Eco-aware approach brings our attention beyond our individual selves (and our families and cultures) to the eco-system around us. Exploring the wider natural world in therapy strengthens our sense of place, and belonging. I see that deepening our relationship with the outdoors is necessary for our own care as and care of the planet.

I love to travel, and explore me new ways to tend to both human and non-human life. Get in touch to see if I’ll be visiting your area soon.

Professional Support

I offer professional consultations for those who would like to chat about becoming an Art Therapist, or would like to know more about my perspective on growing on an Art Therapy Practice. These are 1 hour long and take place via zoom.

What’s next?

If you’re interested in working with me, get in touch! I offer an initial consultation which is free of charge, and lasts about 20 minutes. This should give us an idea of whether we might be a good fit.

If we are a good fit, I will then ask you to commit to a minimum of 6 sessions. This is because it takes time to settle into therapy and for both of us to get to know someone new.
